Imam-ul-Haq gets reward of his recent performances

LAHORE: Pakistan's first-choice opening batter in Tests and ODIs, Imam-ul-Haq has been signed by Somerset County Cricket Club for the last four County Championship 2022-23 matches. 

Taking to Twitter, Somerset announced the signing of Imam for the last four contests in the ongoing English domestic season. 

"BREAKING: Somerset County Cricket Club is delighted to announce the signing of Imam Ul Haq for the final four County Championship matches of the season," the club wrote. 

Imam has scored 855 in 27 innings at an average of 35.62. Imam is a dear friend of Babar Azam who remained associated with Somerset. Pakistan's Test specialist batter Azhar Ali has also remained a regular part of Somerset. 

"I have heard a lot about the quality of Somerset from Babar Azam and Azhar Ali," Imam said in a statement released by the club.
