Arshad Nadeem is preparing to participate in World Athletics Championship

LAHORE: Olympian Javelin Thrower Arshad Nadeem is busy in preparations for the upcoming World Athletics Championship, Pakistan Athletics Federation (PAF) told Geo News. 

According to Secretary PAF - Mohammad Zafar, Arshad has some issues in his arm but he is in rhythm to participate in World Athletics Championship which is scheduled from July 15 to 24 in America. 

"Arshad is currently busy in preparations for World Athletics Championship," Zafar shared. "He has some issues in his arm but he will be ready to compete in the event," he said.

Meanwhile, Zafar also disclosed travel plan for Arshad. "He [Arshad] will be traveling to UK for Commonwealth Games from America. He is the only athlete from Pakistan in World Athletics Championship," he concluded. 

Previously, PAF ensured surgery of Arshad's arm in London after the two mega events. "We are taking good care of Arshad who will be treated in London for his arm injury after World Athletics Championship and Commonwealth Games. We have hired foreign sports surgeon and physio for his treatment. Arshad is our hero and we will make sure he gets good treatment after two mega events," PAF's president General (Retd) Akram Sahi had said.
