Kamran Akmal defends Shahid Afridi against critcisim
Shahid Afridi, while talking to a local tv channel, questioned Khan's performance being in power
KARACHI: Pakistan's wicket-keeper batter Kamran Akmal supported former teammate Shahid Afridi against the criticism he faced due to highlighting the flaws of former Prime Minister Imran Khan's government.
Taking to Twitter, Akmal said Afridi has served Pakistan and his political views shouldn't be compared with his cricket career.
"Kashif bhai with all due respect you can not criticise Lala [Afridi] like this, he has done a lot for Pakistan. He has his own opinions and views please ap un k career ko political point of views k sath mat jorain. We all should respect each other and their respective professions, not good for Pakistan," Akmal responded.
It should be noted here that Afridi, while talking to a local tv channel, questioned Khan's performance being in power. Meanwhile, he also called current Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif 'good administrator'.
His statement sparked outrage on social media with Khan's supporters targeting the former cricketer.
