IPL 2022: Kevin Pietersen believes Ravindra Jadeja 'will make good decisions' as CSK captain

MUMBAI: Former England batter Kevin Pietersen has said that he is not surprised to see the star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja leading Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) in this year's Indian Premier League (IPL) after MS Dhoni decided to step down ahead of this year's season as he believes Jadeja ''will make good decisions.'' 

It should be noted that Dhoni had led CSK from the very first season in 2008 and won four IPL titles. 

Pietersen, while writing for Betway, thinks that Jadeja is an outstanding thinker and CSK can surprise everyone. 

"They've obviously decided that the time is right to move on from MS Dhoni, but it doesn’t surprise me that they have turned to Ravi Jadeja another cool head who will make good decisions," he wrote.  

"Jadeja is an outstanding thinker and a very experienced T20 player, so CSK has a good chance of surprising everybody again," believes. 

"There are so many small decisions to make during a T20 match and if you get more right than the opposition, then you will generally win," he added. 

Meanwhile, CSK has kicked off their IPL 2022 campaign as they are playing against Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing clash at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
