Former England cricketer Andrew Flintoff's son, Rocky Flintoff, has been called up to join the country's U-19.

Despite being in the middle of his exams, the star kid was added in the 16-player squad to play three one-day internationals (ODIs) against Sri Lanka.

In April, junior Flintoff along with his elder brother Corey, made his first debut century while playing for the Lancashire's 2nd XI against Warwickshire at Edgbaston, and scored 116 runs.

Nevertheless, his brother was overtaken by his sibling’s talent and did not make it to the 16-player squad of the U-19. Meanwhile, Corey is recovering from his back injury.

"We have selected an exciting squad for the series, with a blend of some players who are currently playing in the Vitality Blast and some younger players for whom it will be their first time in an U19s squad. As always, it’s a great opportunity for the players to perform in an England U-19 shirt and to experience international cricket,” said England Men U19s coach Mike Yardy.

On the other hand, Andrew Flintoff, one of the leading all-rounders, is currently contributing as a coach of the England team in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024.
