Ashes 2021-22: Ben Stokes not given out despite ball hitting the stumps

KARACHI: England's Ben Stokes was given not out despite being hit on stumps during the fourth Test match of the Ashes series at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).

Chris Green's ball hit Stokes' stumps on the second day of the Sydney Test, but the bails did not fall.

Stokes was given out for an lbw by Umpire Paul Reiffel on appeal of Australian players, but the ball was no way near his pad. 

Ben Stokes took a review, and the replay showed that the ball hit the outside of off stump without dislodging the bails.
