Afghanistan's pacer Naveen-ul-Haq, who was set to represent Quetta Gladiators, has decided to opt-out of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 season due to personal reasons.

Taking to his official Twitter handle, the cricketer wrote: "Sad to be missing out from the PSL T20. Hopefully, will play sometime in the future."

Naveen had retweeted the post of his manager Kaustav Lahiri in which he had written: "I would like to confirm that Naveen pulled out of PSL 2022 for some personal reasons. PSL is a fantastic competition and we look forward to be a part of it in the near future."

Naveen has played seven ODIs and 13 T20I matches for the Afghanistan side in which he has picked up 14 ODIs scalps and 18 T20I wickets.

It is important to note that the much-awaited next year's PSL will get underway from January 27 in Karachi.
