Pakistani wicketkeeper batter and former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed continued his astounding form in First-Class (FC) cricket and scored a double-century in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam trophy 2023-24 on Sunday.
The 36-year-old, who leads the Karachi Whites, scored his second double-century in FC cricket.

However, in the same innings, a record was made with five different batters scoring a century.
Khurram Manzoor, Asad Shafique, Ammad Alam, Rameez Aziz and Sarfaraz all scored centuries in a single innings and created a domestic record.
This was the fifth time five centuries were made in FC cricket, but first time in Pakistan's domestic cricket.
In the 1945 Ranji Trophy, Holkar had six centuries in their innings against Mysore.
In 1901, New South Wales scored five against South Australia. In 1995, Australia scored five centuries in a Test innings against West Indies while in 2001, Pakistan did the same against Bangladesh.
Sarafaraz recently completed 9000 FC runs and batted in over 270 FC innings and with an impressive 41.64 average while his high score remains 213 not out.
It must be noted that Sarfaraz is one the most successful captains of Pakistan in this century. He led the Green Shirts to the Champions Trophy 2017 triumph where they defeated India by 180 runs in the final as they were ranked number eight in the ODI rankings then.
During his captaincy, Pakistan also became the number one T20I team as he captained the side to 11 successive series wins.
