KARACHI: Left-handed opener Shan Masood has been appointed captain by Derbyshire County Cricket Club for upcoming Vitality Blast.
In a social media announcement, Derbyshire named Masood as their captain for the forthcoming T20 competition.
Shan, who remained top-scorer for Derbyshire in County Championship Division two with844 runs including two double-centuries, will lead the county in their first match against Birmingham Bears in Vitality Blast on May 27.
Previously, Masood captained Multan Sultans in Pakistan Super League (PSL), Southern Punjab in Pakistan's domestic cricket and Bagh Stallions in Kashmir Premier League (KPL).
