M. A. Chidambaram Stadium — widely known as Chepauk Stadium — is one of India’s most historic cricket venues, located in the Chepauk area of Chennai, India. Established in 1916, it is among the oldest international cricket stadiums still in active use.

The stadium has seen multiple renovations to modernize its facilities while keeping its historic charm.

A 2010 redevelopment expanded capacity to around 50,000 with new stands and roofing, but later changes, including pavilion demolition and permanent seating, set the current capacity at about 38,000 spectators.
