Eden Gardens in Kolkata, India, is one of the most iconic and historic cricket venues in the world. Established in 1864 and located in the heart of Kolkata, it serves as the headquarters of the Cricket Association of Bengal.

Eden Gardens’ capacity has changed significantly over time. Initially holding around 40,000 spectators, it expanded to over 90,000 before the 1987 World Cup. Modernization for the 2011 World Cup reduced it to about 66,000–68,000 seats for improved comfort and ICC standards.
