Yuvraj Singh is a former Indian cricketer who is well known for his six sixes to Stuart Broad in a match against England at the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007. The first to do so in T20I cricket and the only one for a long time until 2021 when Kieron Pollard struck six sixes to Akila Dananjaya.

Yuvraj Singh was a powerhouse with a high level of patriotism and love for cricket that he vomited blood due to cancer in the 2011 Cricket World Cup and went on to hit a century against West Indies and took two wickets as well.

Yuvraj Singh played eight innings in the World Cup and scored 362 runs at a stellar average of 90.50. India went on to win the World Cup, their first since 1983 and Singh was declared the Player of the Tournament.

For his remarkable services to Indian cricket, Yuvraj Singh was awarded with the Arjuna Award in 2012 and in 2014, he was awarded the Padma Siri award by the Indian government.

On 10 June 2019, Yuvraj announced his retirement from all forms of International cricket. He last represented India in June 2017, against the West Indies.
