Saeed Ajmal is a former Pakistani spinner who faced countless illegal bowling action charges throughout his career and had to retire early due to his bowling action not being cleared up.

Saeed Ajmal is considered one of the finest and dangerous spinners of his era. With Mohammad Hafeez, Umar Gul and Shahid Afridi, Ajmal won matches for Pakistan and defended low totals.

From November 2011 to December 2014, Saeed Ajmal was ranked the number 1 bowler in the world in the ICC ODI bowler rankings.

In 2012, in October and December, he reached the number 1 spot in the T20I bowler rankings and the highest ranking he had in Test was number 2 in January and July of 2012.
