'Pakistan have enough depth to be dangerous, especially in home conditions,' says Shastri.
Ravi Shastri is a former Indian cricketer and coach who was part of the Indian team which won the 1983 Cricket World Cup by defeating West Indies in the final.
Shastri was destined to captain India but his reputation outside of cricket and inconsistent form lessened his chances to be a successful captain and he only led the team in one Test.
Ravi’s knee became an obstacle in his career and he was forced to retire at just the mere age of 31 and turned towards the profession of cricket commentary and broadcasting in 1995.
Ravi Shastri has also coached the national team of India from 2017 to 2021. During his tenure, the Indian cricket team reached the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 and the semi-finalists of the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup.
