Matthew Hayden was an Australian opening batter who contributed massively to Australia’s ‘golden era’ of cricket.
In 2003, Matthew Hayden, in a Test against Zimbabwe scored 380 which was the highest individual Test score at that time. A year later, his record was overtaken by Brian Lara who scored 400* against England. Currently, Hayden’s 380 is the second-highest individual score in a Test inning.
Hayden was part of the squad of Australia which won the 2003 Cricket World Cup and the 2007 Cricket World Cup.
In 2017, Matthew Hayden was inducted into Australia’s Hall of Fame.
