PCB expected to name Saqlain Mushtaq in Pakistan's coaching panel for T20 World Cup

Former Pakistan cricketer Saqlain Mushtaq is likely to be included amongst the coaches panel for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup, reports have revealed.

According to sources cited by Geo News, a local coach, expected to be Mushtaq, is likely to named for the national by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) soon.

This comes a day after the new PCB chairman Ramiz Raja took over the cricket governing body and named Australia’s Matthew Hayden and South Africa’s Vernon Philander as the coaches for the mega-event that is to be held in October.

Geo News’ sources further revealed that the permanent coaches will be announced after the World Cup, adding that fielding coach Abdul Majeed is also likely to be replaced.

Moreover, they said that National High Performance Center’s Wicketkeeping and Fielding coach, Atiq us Zaman is also being considered a role on the coaches panel as well.
