Overseas Warriors set 161 runs target for Mirpur Royals in first KPL eliminator

 Mirpur Royals handed the Overseas Warriors a four-wicket defeat in the first eliminator of the Kashmir Premier League on Sunday. 

Having successfully chased the 161-run target set by the Warriors, the Royal won the match with just eight balls to spare.

Batting first, Warriors scored 160 for nine in 20 overs at Muzaffarabad cricket stadium with Agha Salman making 59 off 26 balls.

However, the target was achieved by the opponent with a handful of 20s with the most contribution by Sharjeel Khan for 30 runs.

On the bowling side, Shadab Majeed was declared Player of the Match after taking four wickets.

Earlier, Mirpur Royals won the toss and decided to field.

The second eliminator will be played on Monday, August 16 between Rawalakot Hawks and the winner of the eliminator one to decide for the final clash.

Muzaffarabad Tigers have already reached the final of the KPL.
