Hasan Ali snagged away the title of the ninth and third-fastest Pakistani player to grab 50 wickets.

The 27-year-old fast bowler achieved the feat after taking the wicket of West Indies opener Evin Lewis during the first T20I on Wednesday in Bridgetown.

Before him, the Pakistani players who had managed to achieve the same, included Shahid Afridi, Umar Gul, Saeed Ajmal, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Hafeez, Shadab Khan, Sohail Tanvir and Imad Wasim.

However, the pacer was the third-fastest amongst the rest of the eight players to reach the milestone in just 38 matches, behind Umar Gul who holds the top spot having taken 50 wickets in 36 matches.

He also became the tenth fastest cricketer in the world to have achieved the 50-wicket feat in 38 matches, according to ESPN Cricinfo.

After electing to field, Pakistan kept West Indies to 85/5 in the shortened nine-over innings on Wednesday before the game was abandoned due to rain.
