Indian Premier League will resume the remainder of its tournament in September after it was brought to a halt earlier this year in May due to a Covid-19 outbreak.
It was announced by the BCCI that the remaining matches left of the tournament would be played in the UAE in September and October.
The IPL was suspended on May 4, with 31 matches still left to be played, after multiple players and staffers tested positive for Covid during India’s lethal second wave.
The first match will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians on September 19 in Dubai, followed by Royal Challengers Bangalore facing the Kolkata Knight Riders in Abu Dhabi the next day.
