Haris Sohail will undergo an MRI scan on July 6 after which, it will be decided if he is fit to play the ODI

Pakistan's middle-order batsman Haris Sohail will not be taking part in the next two practice sessions in Derby ahead of the England series, owing to his injury.

Sohail is still feeling slight pain in his right leg, because of which will miss the sessions scheduled for July 5 and July 6. He had earlier also skipped the intra-squad practice matches owing to the injury.

The left-handed batsman will undergo an MRI scan on July 6 in Cardiff after which, it will be decided if the athlete is fit to play the ODI against England on July 8.

According to sources, his participation in the first ODI is hanging in balance and Sohaib Maqsood could be brought in as his replacement in the middle order.

The ODI series against England will begin on July 8 in Cardiff. The three-match tournament is also part of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League.

The Men in Green will travel from Derby to Cardiff on July 6.
