Protest held against PCB policies, chiefs removal demanded

A large number of cricket organisers, officials, cricketers and club officials from across the country assembled outside Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) headquarters at Gaddafi Stadium on Monday to protest against the policies introduced by the PCB.

The protesters demanded restoration of 2014 PCB Constitution and sacking of present PCB management for bringing decline in Pakistan cricket and snatching away the jobs of thousands of cricketers and officials.

The protesters were led by former PCB BoGs member Shakil Shaikh, a former head of PCB Cricket Committee, former BoGs member Noman Butt, former Head Bahawalpur Region Tariq Sarwar, former head Hyderabad Suleman Talpur, former president Lahore Region Kh Nadeem Ahmed, former head Larkana Region Tanvir Ahmed, former Quetta Region head Gul M Kakar, former Karachi Region secretary Shafiq Kazmi, former secretary Faisalabad Rana Anis Ahmed Khan, former president Faisalabad Ijaz Farooq, former Haripur head Abid Lala, former Swabi District head Asadullah. The protesters staged a sit-in in front of the main entrance of the PCB offices.
