Pakistan have replaced injured all-rounder Shadab Khan with legspinner Zahid Mahmood for the upcoming T20I series against Zimbabwe.
Zahid originally part of just the Test squad for the Zimbabwe tour but has been inducted in the shorted format roster too, following Shadab's toe injury that has ruled him out of the remainder of the African tour.
According to a press release issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Fakhar Zaman has also been inducted into the T20I squad for both the South Africa and Zimbabwe series.
He was initially only picked for ODIs but his 193-run knock against South Africa in 2nd ODI got him the additional nod.
"Both the changes were approved by the national selection committee on the request of the team management," the PCB added.
