All 69 players, officials and support staff members at the National High Performance Centre (NHPC) that were tested for Covid-19 following a positive case on Monday, have reportedly returned negative results today.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had to shut its offices in Lahore yesterday following confirmation that a staff member had contracted the virus.
According to sources privy to the matter, all the personnel at the NHPC were tested and the Board has received a clean bill of health.
Following the development, they have been permitted to leave for their homes.
It is pertinent to mention here that women cricketers were not a part of the latest round of Covid-19 testing.
The PCB headquarters, meanwhile, will continue to remain close for three days. Its staff will get tested on Wednesday.
Pakistan cricket has been hit by Covid-19 recently, with its biggest casualty being the Pakistan Super League 2021, which had to be postponed following a bio-secure bubble breach that allowed the ravaging virus a way in.
