Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan and fast bowler Hasan Ali have blamed the "evil eye" for the indefinite postponement observed in the sixth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Thursday.

“Ya Allah humary PSL ko kis ke nazar laga de [Oh Lord, who has cast their evil eye on PSL]” Shadab tweeted today after PCB announced that the tournament was being postponed.

Meanwhile, his teammate Hasan Ali shared a similar message asking the same question.

Earlier today, Pakistan’s premier T20 tournament was postponed after seven cases were reported in PSL’s ‘bio-secure’ bubble in Karachi.

The PCB made the decision in a virtual meeting between PSL’s organizing committee and franchise owners considering the health and well being of all participants involved.

Wasim Khan, PCB’s Chief Executive, will share further details of tournament’s future in a press conference at National Stadium today at 3pm.
