Defending champions Karachi Kings will face table-toppers of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) Peshawar Zalmi in their fifth round fixture on today at National Stadium Karachi.

The two teams have faced each other 12 times in PSL history with Zalmi dominating the Kings with eight victories compared to just four defeats.

The Yellow Storm, despite being written off as a weaker team before the tournament, have surprised everyone with their performance. They’re currently on top of the points table with 6 points after playing four games, winning three and losing one.

The Kings, on the other hand, kicked off their campaign in PSL 6 with two impressive wins but have lost their last two matches to Islamabad United and arch-rivals Lahore Qalandars.

While all the teams have their strengths and weaknesses, it’s the toss that’s been the most decisive factor in the tournament so far. In the 12 matches played till date, teams who have won the toss and batted second have come out victorious.
