Win-less Quetta meet troubled Islamabad tonight

Quetta Gladiators will look for their maiden victory in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) when they face two-time champions Islamabad United on Tuesday at National Stadium Karachi.

The match was originally scheduled to take place on Monday but Fawad Ahmed's positive coronavirus test forced the league to delay the match by a day.

The two teams have locked horns 11 times so far in league’s history with Quetta having dominated the head-to-head by seven victories while Islamabad won the other four games.

While the 2019 champions have the historical edge over Islamabad, they are yet to win in this year’s tournament. Quetta have played three matches in the sixth edition of PSL up till now and lost them all. The team remains at the bottom of the points table with zero points.

Islamabad, on the other hand, have had a good start to the season and won two of the three games they played. They beat Multan Sultans in their first match and defending champions Karachi Kings in their second match, however, the team lost its third game to Peshawar Zalmi on Saturday in a low-scoring game.

The tournament has been very predictable this season as all 11 games played have resulted in teams batting second coming out as winners. For Quetta to stand a chance tonight, they must be hoping to win their first toss.

Match starts at 7pm and will be broadcast live on Geo Super.
