Pacers Wahab Riaz and Saqib Mehmood combined for seven wickets to restrict Islamabad United to the lowest score of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021, laying the foundation of their side’s six-wicket win at the National Stadium Karachi on Saturday.
On a wicket that has produced many a big scoring games over the past few days, Islamabad batters inexplicable tanked, bundling out for just 118. The architect-in-chief of their downfall was Riaz, who picked up four and Mehmood, who had a three-for.
Zalmi’s run-chase was not without its hiccups as they were 6-2 early on before Tom Kohler-Cadmore’s 46 and Haider Ali’s 36 on either side of Shoaib Malik’s 29 got the job done.
