The streak of successful run chases continued in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021 on Saturday as Karachi Kings tracked down another giant of a target, defeating Multan Sultans by seven wickets at the National Stadium Karachi.

The tournament’s ninth straight victory for the team batting second was possible due to the Kings’ top-order, especially Babar Azam, who contributed a masterful 90* off 60 balls and anchored his team’s innings.

He was well supported by Sharjeel Khan (27 off 14) and Joe Clarke (54 off 26), who played at a much faster rate as Azam played the facilitator.

Earlier, Multan got a scintillating start from their own top-order batsmen and at one point looked set to score well above 200, only for them to slow down in the second half of their innings and eventually posting 195-6.

Mohammad Rizwan (45 off 32) was once again among the runs, although the scoring pace upfront was provided by Chris Lynn (32 off 14) and James Vince (45 off 29).
