The seventh match of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be played between Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars at the National Stadium Karachi on Friday (today).

The Sultans will be desperate for a win as they remain pointless after losing their first two matches against Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi albeit close margins. Meanwhile, the Qalandars could not have asked for a better start as they are top of the table after winning against Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators.

The two teams have faced each other seven times in PSL’s history with the Qalandars winning four times while the Sultans were triumphant in the remaining three.

In the match today, however, the Qalandars will be without their star all-rounder Rashid Khan who left the tournament after being called for national duty. The team might replace him with Joe Denly to add some strength to their batting and use Samit Patel as the fifth bowler.

The Sultans, on the other hand, have their batting covered but are a bit lacking in quality experienced fast bowling.

Toss will also play a crucial role as all the teams batting second in PSL so far have won their matches, making the contest among them very predictable.

The match starts at 3pm and will be broadcast live on Geo Super channel as well as GeoSuper.tv.
