Quetta Gladiators will take on Lahore Qalandars tonight in their second match in HBL Pakistan Super League 2021 after losing the tournament opener to defending champions Karachi Kings by seven wickets on Saturday at National Stadium Karachi.

The Sarfaraz Ahmed-led Gladiators would be highly motivated to do much better against Qalandars, who kicked off their own campaign with a four-wicket win against Peshawar Zalmi on Sunday.

The two teams have faced each other 10 times, sharing an equal win-loss ratio at 5-each. However, Qalandars seem to be the dominating side in the recent past as they had defeated Gladiators in both games last season.

Two platinum stars of both the teams, Rashid Khan and Chris Gayle, will be playing their last match for their respective franchises in the sixth edition today to meet country’s international duties.

The runner-ups of 2020 edition will have their hopes pinned on the duo, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Hafeez, once again. The two were instrumental in team’s victory in the first match.

Gladiators, on the other hand, will be looking for a ‘Gaylestorm’ to help them ladder up the points table.

The match starts at 7pm and will be broadcasted live on Geo Super.
