Ben Dunk, Lahore Qalandars’ star batsman from the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) season five, on Saturday said that he will be chewing the bubble this year again.

The 33-year-old was famous for chewing a bubble gum while batting during the fifth edition of the tournament in 2020. “I’ll be chewing the bubble again, don’t worry!” Dunk said in an exclusive interview to Geo Super.

The middle-order batsman played a crucial role in ensuring a spot for Qalandars in the final of PSL 5. He scored 300 runs in 11 games at a strike rate of 167.

“I’m very excited to be playing for Lahore again, we had a great run last year and almost went all the way, so I’m looking forward to starting the journey again,” Dunk said.

“I’ve been to Pakistan a few times now and every time I’ve had a great experience. I look forward to this time of the year.”

The left-hander added that of all his teammates, he gets along with pacer Haris Rauf the most. “Haris is probably my best friend, we have now played together in Australia and in Pakistan,” Dunk said. “ He is a serious bowler and I’m hopeful he has great tournament.”

Qalandars will kick off their campaign in PSL six against Peshawar Zalmi on Sunday (today) at National Stadium Karachi.
