Fastest to 150 wickets: Mitchell Starc breaks Saqlain Mushtaq’s record

NOTTINGHAM: Australia pace spearhead Mitchell Starc on Thursday became the fastest to reach 150 ODI wickets, surpassing a record previously held by Pakistan spinner Saqlain Mushtaq.

Starc ripped through the West Indies batting order in the tenth match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, bagging 5-46 – the first five-wicket haul of this tournament.

The 29-year old pacer reached the 150 milestone in 77 matches, beating Saqlain Mushtaq’s record which was achieved in 78 matches.
