Paulie Malignaggi predicts outcome of Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua

Paulie Malignaggi has predicted the result of the fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

Fury will take on Joshua in an all-British heavyweight showdown later in 2026, a bout which has been talked about for more than 10 years.

In that time, both boxers have become two-time world champions, but both have been defeated by Oleksandr Usyk and failed to reverse their losses in a rematch.

Fury, 37, retired for the sixth time in January 2025, before reversing that decision after just one year.

Tyson returned to the ring after 16 months away in April against Arslanbek Makhmudov, winning the contest with a unanimous decision at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before forcing Polish boxer Mariusz Wach to retire in a tune-up fight in July.

Anthony Joshua, on the other hand, knocked out Albanian heavyweight Kristian Prenga on July 25th, paving the way for a long-awaited blockbuster clash with Tyson Fury.

This was his first fight since two of his best friends died in a car crash in Nigeria in December 2025, in which he was injured.

Speaking to The Stomping Ground, Malignaggi was asked to predict the all-British fight.

“If I had to pick who I think would win, with no running interest and just trying to logically look at it, I would probably think Fury had the advantage,” Malignaggi said.

Joshua was knocked out by Daniel Dubois in 2024 and he made a long-awaited return against American YouTuber-turned boxer Jake Paul in December last year when he stopped “The Problem Child” in the sixth round.
