Tyson Fury reacts to Anthony Joshua's comeback win with first public comment

Tyson Fury has delivered his first public reaction to Anthony Joshua's comeback victory after the former unified heavyweight champion survived two early knockdowns before stopping Kristian Prenga in the second round.

Joshua returned to the ring for the first time since a car accident near Lagos, Ghana, in December last year.

The crash claimed the lives of his friends, Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami, while the 36-year-old Brit suffered moderate injuries.

Despite securing a second-round knockout, Joshua endured a difficult start to the contest after being floored twice in the opening round by Prenga.

He recovered quickly, however, to halt his opponent and set up a highly anticipated all-British showdown with Fury in November.

Fury had already fulfilled his part of the agreement earlier by defeating Polish heavyweight Mariusz Wach in Pattaya.

With both heavyweights now victorious, attention has turned to their long-awaited clash, which could determine the next challenger for Oleksandr Usyk and the unofficial title of the world's leading heavyweight.

Fury appeared surprised by Joshua's performance after watching highlights of the fight on social media. Commenting on an Instagram post, the former WBC heavyweight champion wrote: "Wow wtf."

The brief remark quickly attracted attention from boxing fans, receiving hundreds of likes within a short period and fuelling further discussion ahead of the November showdown.

Joshua will now shift his focus to preparations for the blockbuster meeting with Fury, knowing victory would not only settle one of British boxing's biggest rivalries but also strengthen his claim for another world title opportunity against Usyk.
