Pakistan women's T20I series against Sri Lanka shifted to Dambulla

LAHORE: Pakistan women's upcoming T20I series against Sri Lanka has been relocated from Hambantota to Dambulla, while the tour schedule remains unchanged.

According to the revised itinerary, the three-match T20I series will now be staged in Dambulla instead of Hambantota, which had originally been scheduled to host both the ODI and T20I legs of the tour.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) have made no changes to the tour dates, with only the venue for the T20I series being revised.

The three T20Is will be played on 31 July, 2 August and 4 August in Dambulla.

The ODI series, which forms part of the ICC Women's Championship 2025–29, will continue to be held in Hambantota on 23, 25 and 28 July as originally scheduled.

Pakistan currently sit second in the Championship standings with eight points after winning four of their six matches. New Zealand lead the table with 13 points, although they have played three more matches than Pakistan.

Following the ODI series, attention will turn to the T20I leg in Dambulla.

Both Pakistan and Sri Lanka are currently in the United Kingdom competing in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup.

The two sides have faced each other 21 times in Women's T20Is. Pakistan hold a slight edge with 11 victories, while Sri Lanka have won nine matches, with one encounter ending in no result.

In Women's ODIs, Sri Lanka have enjoyed greater success, winning 22 of the 34 meetings. Pakistan have registered 11 victories, while one match ended without a result.
