Shadab, Sufiyan roped in by Antigua and Barbuda Falcons for CPL 2026

KARACHI: Pakistan's spin duo of Shadab Khan and Sufiyan Muqeem has been named in Antigua and Barbuda Falcons' overseas signings for the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026, scheduled to run from August 7 to September 20.

According to the tournament organisers, the Pakistan duo were named among the six overseas signings made by the franchise ahead of the tournament, which further features the likes of experienced England all-rounder Moeen Ali and Sri Lanka's wicketkeeper batter Kusal Perera, while USA's Milind Kumar and Tajinder Singh were also picked.

Amongst their overseas signings, star players Moeen and Perera will be available for the Falcons for the entirety of the tournament, while Kumar and Singh will feature in their first three matches of the CPL 2026.

Pakistan's Shadab and Sufiyan, on the other hand, will be available for seven matches.

"Moeen Ali and Kusal Perera are fully available for the entire tournament and will be with the squad from day one, giving the side a settled top-order presence throughout the campaign," the CPL shared in a statement.

"Milind Kumar and Tajinder Singh will also link up with the team at the start of the season, available for the first three matches of the campaign.

"Shadab Khan and Sufiyan Muqeem will be available for seven matches during the tournament, adding proven and emerging spin options to the squad as the campaign progresses."

The recently unveiled overseas signings will join the likes of Alzarri Joseph, Jayden Seales and Rakheem Cornwall in the Falcons' squad, which will kick-start their campaign in the curtain-raiser against Jamaica Kingsmen at the Arnos Vale Ground in Kingstown on August 7.
