Shakur Stevenson signs with Zuffa Boxing after unbeaten title-winning run

Four-weight world champion Shakur Stevenson has officially signed with Zuffa Boxing, with the promotion's president Dana White confirming the high-profile acquisition.

The unbeaten American has enjoyed a flawless professional career, winning all 25 of his contests. His most recent victory came in February, when he defeated Teofimo Lopez to claim the WBO light-welterweight title.

Following that success, Stevenson immediately called for a blockbuster showdown with Britain's Conor Benn, who is also part of the Zuffa Boxing roster.

"Line them up, one by one, and I'll beat all the top guys once I get them in front of me," Stevenson said.

"With Zuffa Boxing, I'm going to go after the biggest fights in the sport and I will become the number one pound-for-pound fighter in the world."

Before moving up to light-welterweight, Stevenson captured world titles at featherweight, super-featherweight and lightweight. He also claimed a silver medal in the bantamweight division at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Dana White welcomed the signing, describing Stevenson as one of boxing's elite talents.

"Shakur is one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world," added White.

"This is a massive signing for Zuffa Boxing, and I'm looking forward to promoting this next fight."

Founded by White and backed by Saudi Arabian investment, Zuffa Boxing aims to challenge the sport's traditional promoters.

The company made headlines earlier this year after signing Conor Benn from Eddie Hearn's Matchroom stable and has since added several leading fighters, including IBF cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia, who was stripped of his title after joining the promotion.
