Oba Femi defeats Jey Uso to capture 2026 King of the Ring crown

SAUDI ARABIA: Oba Femi cemented his place among WWE's fastest-rising stars by defeating Jey Uso to win the 2026 King of the Ring tournament at Night of Champions 2026 being held at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh.

The victory not only earned Femi the prestigious King of the Ring crown but also secured him a world championship opportunity at SummerSlam, marking the biggest achievement of his main roster career.

The highly anticipated final pitted the dominant powerhouse against one of WWE's most popular competitors in Jey Uso, who entered the contest after an impressive run through the tournament.

Both men had overcome a series of tough opponents to reach the final, with Femi showcasing his incredible strength and athleticism, while Uso relied on his resilience and experience to book his place in the championship match.

The contest began at a frantic pace as Uso attempted to use his speed to neutralise Femi's overwhelming power. The former world champion connected with several superkicks before following up with a spear that briefly put the towering challenger on the defensive.

Uso continued to apply pressure with a sleeper hold, hoping to wear down his larger opponent and edge closer to tournament glory.

However, Femi once again proved why he has become one of WWE's most feared competitors. Weathering Uso's relentless offence, he gradually regained control through his brute strength and devastating strikes.

After halting another offensive burst from Uso, Femi delivered his trademark Fall From Grace powerbomb to score the decisive three-count and claim the King of the Ring crown in a match that lasted fewer than ten minutes.

Following the victory, Femi celebrated in front of the Riyadh crowd before being officially crowned the 2026 King of the Ring. 

The newly crowned king then addressed the WWE Universe, declaring that his reign was only beginning and making it clear that his focus had now shifted towards capturing a world championship at SummerSlam.

His comments also fuelled speculation over whether he will challenge WWE Champion Cody Rhodes or World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns in the coming weeks.

Femi's triumph represents another milestone in his remarkable ascent following a successful run in NXT. 

By adding the King of the Ring crown to his growing list of accomplishments, he has firmly established himself as one of WWE's leading attractions heading into SummerSlam, where a world title opportunity now awaits.
