Ketlen Vieira signs with PFL after UFC departure

Former UFC contender Ketlen Vieira has joined the Professional Fighters League (PFL), further strengthening the promotion’s growing roster of female athletes on Tuesday.

Vieira confirmed the move through a post on Instagram, marking the beginning of a new stage in her mixed martial arts career.

While no date has been announced for her promotional debut, the Brazilian is expected to compete in the featherweight division, as the PFL does not currently operate a women’s bantamweight category.

Sharing her thoughts on the move, Vieira wrote.

"Today marks the beginning of a new chapter in my life, and I can only thank God for pouring countless blessings into it! Every day, I experience the truth of the verse that says: “All things work together for the good of those who love God.”"

The 33-year-old leaves the UFC with a respectable record of 10 victories and five defeats inside the Octagon. She was released by the organisation earlier this year despite ending her UFC tenure on a positive note.

Vieira’s most recent appearance came at UFC Fight Night 276, where she handed rising contender Jacqueline Cavalcanti her first loss in nine fights, snapping an impressive eight-bout winning streak.

Nicknamed “Fenomeno”, Vieira established herself as one of the most accomplished women in the UFC bantamweight division over the past decade.

During her time with the promotion, she secured notable victories over several high-profile opponents, including Holly Holm, Miesha Tate, Macy Chiasson, Cat Zingano and Sara McMann.

Her arrival represents another significant addition for the PFL, which continues to attract experienced fighters as it seeks to expand and enhance its women’s divisions ahead of future events.
