MUMBAI: India veteran Virat Kohli is set to return to the 50-over setup for the upcoming tour of England after missing the Afghanistan series due to a hamstring injury, with his final inclusion subject to fitness clearance from the BCCI.
The squad also features KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan as the designated wicketkeeping options.
India’s spin attack will be spearheaded by Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel and Washington Sundar, while pace duties will be led by Jasprit Bumrah.
The fast-bowling unit also includes Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Harshit Rana and Gurnoor Brar, who impressed with seven wickets on debut against Afghanistan.
Nitish Kumar Reddy retains his place as a seam-bowling all-rounder.
India have also announced an updated squad for the upcoming T20I series against Ireland, with Varun Chakravarthy ruled out while he continues rehabilitation at the BCCI Centre of Excellence following a left-foot injury sustained during IPL 2026.
It is pertinent to mention that the Blue Shirts will travel for a short tour of Ireland for a two-match T20I series in Belfast on June 26 and 28.
After the Ireland assignment, India are scheduled to face England in a five-match T20I series from July 1 to 11, before moving on to the ODI series comprising three matches, which will run from July 14 to 19.
