MIAMI: Cristiano Ronaldo's exceptional physical condition has once again attracted attention, with Portugal teammate Vitinha praising the veteran forward's dedication after the squad spent time relaxing on a beach in Florida ahead of the FIFA World Cup opener.

Ronaldo, 41, was spotted enjoying the sunshine at Palm Beach, Miami, alongside several Portugal teammates, including Vitinha.

Images of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner quickly circulated online, highlighting the impressive physique that has become synonymous with his relentless commitment to fitness and professionalism.

Asked about Ronaldo's condition, Vitinha dismissed any suggestion that the images had been altered.

"I can promise you, guarantee you it's not Photoshop; it's like that. It's incredible that he is like that at 41. I'm 26 and I'm not like that.

"It's just another indication of how dedicated he is and how important it is for him to be in good shape."

Ronaldo has long emphasised the importance of discipline, hard work and maintaining peak physical standards throughout his career.

Speaking to reporters before Portugal's World Cup campaign begins, the captain expressed confidence in his condition.

"Physically? I'm fine -- have you not seen my matches? It has been good but tiring because we've worked hard," he said.

"We've had the upper hand in our matches, but what matters most is when the ball starts rolling on the 17th, in the first game, and then when the pressure really starts to mount -- that's when we'll see the true champions."

Ronaldo is set to make history by joining Argentina captain Lionel Messi as the only male players to feature in six FIFA World Cups.

Portugal open their campaign against DR Congo on Wednesday in Houston before facing Uzbekistan and Colombia in Group-stage action.
