Tyson Fury teases massive Zuffa Boxing announcement with Dana White

Former heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury has revealed he is set to be involved in a ‘massive announcement’ linked to Zuffa Boxing and UFC president Dana White, as speculation grows over his long-anticipated clash with Anthony Joshua.

The 37-year-old Briton appeared as a special guest at the UFC’s White House event on Sunday, held as part of celebrations marking 250 years of American independence.

Speaking during an interview with UFC broadcaster Jon Anik, the 37-year-old Briton hinted at major news involving White.

“I think I'm going to let Dana do the speaking, but it is a massive, massive announcement,” said Fury.

When pressed on whether White could be involved in promoting a potential fight with Joshua, targeted for the end of 2026, Fury added: “100% potential, yes.”

White’s claim that he would promote Joshua vs Fury has already been dismissed by both Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, and Frank Warren, who represents Fury.

“I’m very excited for this fight. It's been over a decade in the making,” Fury said.

“For whatever reason it hasn't happened before. Let's hope it happens right now, very soon.”

Zuffa Boxing, founded by White and supported by Saudi Arabian investment, is aiming to challenge established boxing promoters.

Fury recently returned from retirement, defeating Arslanbek Makhmudov in April, and has indicated he may have another ‘potential fight in August’ before any possible showdown with Joshua.

Former unified heavyweight championship Joshua is also scheduled to face Kristian Prenga on 25 July in Saudi Arabia.
