Anthony Joshua names exciting opponents he wants to fight before retiring

Anthony Joshua believes there are plenty of exciting opponents out there who he wants to fight before retiring.

Joshua is making a comeback to the ring in July against Kristian Prenga, which is dubbed as a ‘warm-up fight’ before his showdown with Tyson Fury later this year.

Former two-time unified heavyweight champion and Fury have been teasing a fight between themselves for 10 years and finally, both boxers have signed a showdown scheduled for 2026.

‘AJ’ defeated American YouTuber-turned boxer Jake Paul by stoppage last time out in December and was involved in a car crash in Nigeria later in the same month, in which he lost two of his closest friends and team members.

Anthony Joshua recently told The Ring that he would box till the age of 40 and showed his desire for a rematch against Daniel Dubois, who knocked him out in September 2024 in a failed attempt to win the IBF world title.

Anthony also suggested some more big boxers as well, whom he wants to fight in the future.

“Because I know if I stay around long enough, there’s the rematch with Daniel Dubois,” Joshua said.

“There’s a potential Fabio Wardley fight. There’s the Agit Kabayel fight out there, providing he becomes champion, how big that would be. There’s an Itauma fight as he’s coming up the rankings, there’s still the Deontay Wilder fight out there.”

Joshua (29-4, 26 KOs) gradually resumed training in the months following the Nigeria car crash and has recently spent time in camp with unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk as he builds towards his comeback.
