Pakistan’s 4Thrives crowned PMGO 2026 champions in Indonesia

JAKARTA: Pakistan’s esports scene has received a major boost after 4Thrives clinched the PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) 2026 Season 1 title with a dominant display in the Grand Finals held in Indonesia.

The Pakistani squad outperformed some of the world’s strongest teams to finish at the top of the standings with 122 points.

Their championship run featured three Chicken Dinners and a total of 77 eliminations across the decisive matches. The victory earned 4Thrives a prize of $62,500 from the $500,000 prize pool.

The triumph marks a significant milestone for Pakistan’s rapidly growing esports industry and further strengthens the country’s presence on the global competitive gaming stage. The achievement is expected to inspire emerging gamers and boost Pakistan’s reputation in international mobile esports.

PMGO 2026 Season 1 brought together 32 teams from across the globe. After a highly competitive Group Stage and Survival Stage, the top 16 teams advanced to the Grand Finals, where they contested for the title over a series of high-intensity matches.

The tournament served as the first major international PUBG Mobile event of 2026, featuring elite teams from Asia, Europe, South America and other regions.

4Thrives secured first place with 122 points, followed by Turkey’s ULF Esports in second with 104 points and Brazil’s FURIA Esports in third with 97 points. S2G Esports and EArena completed the top five standings with 83 points each after a tightly contested finals series.

TT Project finished sixth with 77 points, while GOAT Team and Aurora Gaming placed seventh and eighth with 75 and 73 points respectively. Indonesia’s BOOM Esports and Vietnam’s Team Flash completed the top ten with 71 and 69 points.

ULF Esports’ standout player Kecth222 was named Most Valuable Player of the tournament and also earned recognition as the Best In-Game Leader for his consistent leadership and performance. FURIA Esports also impressed with two Chicken Dinners as they secured third place in a strong showing.

In a major development for the region’s esports landscape, organisers have announced that PMGO 2026 Season 2 will be hosted in Pakistan in October.

The decision is being seen as a significant endorsement of the country’s growing influence in competitive gaming and is expected to attract international teams, fans and industry stakeholders.

With 4Thrives lifting the trophy in Indonesia and Pakistan set to host the next edition of the tournament, 2026 is shaping up to be a landmark year for the country’s esports ecosystem.
