ICC unveils star-studded commentary panel for Women's T20 World Cup 2026

LONDON: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced a world-class, female-led commentary team for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026, highlighting the expertise, experience and influence that continue to drive the growth of women's cricket around the world.

The commentary panel brings together ICC World Cup winners, former international captains, renowned broadcasters and some of the most respected voices in cricket.

They will provide expert analysis, insights and storytelling throughout all 33 matches of the tournament, which begins on 12 June with hosts England taking on Sri Lanka and concludes with the final at Lord's on 5 July.

The line-up features several former World Cup winners with first-hand experience of success on cricket's biggest stage.

Mel Jones and Julia Price were members of Australia's victorious ICC Women's Cricket World Cup-winning side, while Stacy-Ann King was part of the West Indies team that captured the ICC Women's T20 World Cup title.

England's Isa Guha and Ebony Rainford-Brent also enjoyed World Cup success, having been members of England's ICC Women's Cricket World Cup-winning squad as well as the team that lifted the inaugural ICC Women's T20 World Cup in 2009, the last time the tournament was held in England.

The panel also includes distinguished figures from the men's game. Matthew Hayden is a two-time ICC Men's Cricket World Cup winner, while Dinesh Karthik and Carlos Brathwaite are ICC Men's T20 World Cup champions with India and the West Indies respectively.

Among the most recognisable voices in modern cricket broadcasting are Nasser Hussain, Ian Bishop and Ian Smith. The trio, who were part of the memorable commentary team during the dramatic ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2019 final at Lord's, will reunite for another major global event in England.

They will be joined by former captains and international stars Mithali Raj, Tash Farrant, Anjum Chopra, Simon Doull, Veda Krishnamurthy, Sana Mir, Isobel Joyce and Katey Martin.

The broadcasting team is further strengthened by presenters and commentators Charles Dagnall, Natalie Germanos, Alan Wilkins, Laura McGoldrick, Jatin Sapru, Kass Naidoo, Raunak Kapoor and Ali Mitchell.

All of whom have played key roles in covering some of cricket’s most memorable moments and will bring their trademark energy insight and storytelling to audiences throughout the tournament.
