‘I’m not going to let Tom Aspinall fight’: Eddie Hearn on next UFC bout

Eddie Hearn has said that Tom Aspinall will not fight the winner of the showdown between Alex Pereira and Ciryl Gane without a significant pay raise.

Pereira will fight Gane for an interim heavyweight title at the co-main event for the historic UFC White House June 14 show.

The winner is expected to take on Aspinall in a title unification bout, but there are some issues which need to be addressed.

Tom Aspinall suffered a double eye injury in a title fight against Gane at UFC 321 in October 2025 and he was not happy with how the UFC brass responded to it.

The 32-year-old Englishman, renowned for his explosive boxing skills in the UFC heavyweight division, boasts an impressive record with seven of his eight victories ending in the first round.

Aspinall is contracted with UFC and recently signed a commercial and advisory deal with Matchroom Boxing promoter’s new talent agency.

Hearn and his team will be handling Aspinall's business dealings inside and outside of fighting.

Speaking to reporters at Croke Park, Hearn said Aspinall will not fight Gane or Pereira unless he gets a big pay increase.

“They’ve got to be careful because at the end of the day I’m not going to let Tom Aspinall fight for the kind of money that he’s on. To be involved in a fight against [Alex] Pereira or [Ciryl] Gane for literally one fiftieth of the revenue for that show?” Hearn said.

“[Expletive deleted] that, I won’t let him do it. And it’s time those UFC fighters stop being mugs and start to understand that these people are taking advantage of them. They don’t mind paying these boxers all this money but they don’t want to pay the UFC fighters.”

Eddie Hearn is happy to have the UFC heavyweight champion alongside him and is determined to help him and accelerate his future to even greater heights.
