Pakistan squad reaches England for ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026

NOTTINGHAM: The 15-member Pakistan squad reached here on Friday to participate in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026, scheduled to be played in England and Wales from June 12 to July 5.

According to the details, after a winless T20I tri-series campaign in Ireland, which West Indies won, Pakistan embarked on a short journey from Dublin to reach here on Friday afternoon.

Upon their arrival here, the Pakistan squad, led by all-rounder Fatima Sana, will enjoy a rest day before turning up for their T20 World Cup warm-up match against Sri Lanka in Derby on Saturday.

Following their first warm-up fixture, Pakistan will hold a training session on Sunday at the County Ground in Derby, where they will play their second practice match for the mega event against Scotland on Monday.

The Green Shirts, slotted in Group 1, will then formally kick off their T20 World Cup campaign on June 14 by locking horns with arch-rivals India at Edgbaston in Birmingham, which will also host their subsequent fixture against South Africa on June 17.

They will then head to Southampton, where they will take on Bangladesh on June 20, while their remaining two group-stage matches are scheduled against Australia in Leeds and the Netherlands in Bristol on June 23 and 27, respectively.
