Tyson Fury has revealed his plan after the all-British showdown against rival Anthony Joshua later this year.

Fury ended his year-long retirement in April to fight Arslanbek Makmudov. Showing across 12 rounds, ‘The Gypsy King’ defeated the towering Russian on points by unanimous decision.

It was Fury’s first win after back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk in 2024.

Tyson, just moments after his victory over Makhmudov, called out Joshua, who was watching the fight ringside and demanded a face-off in the ring. ‘AJ’ declined and remained seated before leaving the venue.

Just days after the fight, it was announced that Fury and Joshua had officially signed the fight.

Fury will face Joshua later this year, but before their clash, ‘AJ’ decided to take a warm-up fight beforehand. ‘The Gypsy King’ has been inspired to do so also.

Joshua will take on Kristian Prenga in July, while Fury is scheduled to fight in August but his opponent has not been revealed yet.

Tyson Fury is currently without a title, having lost his WBC title to Usyk.

In an Instagram post, ‘The Gypsy King’ revealed that he intends to become a world heavyweight champion for the third time in his career, made easier by his ranking as the WBC’s number one contender.

“WBC boxing #1 for june 2026, Lets see how the land lays in the coming months! im number 1 ranked now and ready to step in for the world title next, The world is mine. #3x #incoming,” Fury wrote.
