Eddie Hearn has delivered an honest verdict on the fight between Tyson Fury and Arslanbek Makhmudov, saying the Russian is coming for an upset.

Fury has revealed his comeback fight against Makhmudov, weeks after announcing his return to boxing.

Former world heavyweight champion Fury, on January 04, announced his return to boxing, saying 2026 is his comeback year.

'The Gypsy King' is busy training in Thailand these days in a bid to get fight-ready. He recently said that he is preparing for a battle and war in 2026.

On Wednesday, Saudi Arabian boxing chief Turki Alalshikh took to social media to make the announcement, stating that Fury ends his retirement to face Makhmudov.

“Tyson Fury ends his retirement to face heavy-hitter Arslanbek Makhmudov in The Ring’s blockbuster showdown on April 11th, live on Netflix 📺 #TheRing,” Alalshikh wrote in an Instagram post.

Makhmudov, a Russian based in Canada, strengthened his credentials by defeating Britain's Dave Allen last time out. He was pushed to his limits but secured a points victory with his ramrod jab.

Speaking to iFL TV, Hearn first expressed his happiness for ‘The Gypsy King’ comeback.

“Brilliant, great to have Fury back, fantastic,” Hearn said.

He then delivered his opinion on the fight, saying Fury is the favourite but Makhmudov will come for an upset.

“Decent fight, I think he beats Makhmudov, but Makhmudov is a great fighter. I know he will be coming for the upset. I think Fury is the favourite, of course, but Makhmudov can whack. If Fury is not at the races, good fight,” he added.
