DUBAI: Pakistan's star batter Babar Azam, all-rounder Saim Ayub and spinner Abrar Ahmed have made gains in the latest ICC T20I batters' and bowlers' rankings, while several other Pakistan players have slipped down the list.
In the T20I batters' rankings, opener Sahibzada Farhan retained his fifth position with 763 rating points. Babar climbed one place to 31st, while Saim moved up two spots to 35th.
Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha remained steady at 41st.
Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan, who is currently out of Pakistan's T20I setup, dropped two places to 61st with 494 points.
Opener Fakhar Zaman slipped three places to 69th, middle-order batter Hassan Nawaz fell one spot to 84th, while wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris dropped three places to 95th with 390 points.
India's Abhishek Sharma continued to lead the T20I batting rankings, followed by England's Phil Salt in second place, while another Indian batter, Tilak Varma, occupied third position.
In the bowlers' rankings, spinner Abrar Ahmed climbed one place to joint fourth alongside New Zealand's Jacob Duffy, closing in on the third spot currently held by Sri Lanka's Wanindu Hasaranga.
India's Varun Chakaravarthy remained the top-ranked T20I bowler, with Afghanistan's Rashid Khan in second place.
Among other Pakistan bowlers, spinner Mohammad Nawaz dropped two places to 15th, while pacer Salman Mirza moved up one spot to 18th with 618 points.
Pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi retained his 24th position, spinner Sufiyan Muqeem rose one place to 33rd, Saim Ayub moved up one spot to 54th, and Haris Rauf slipped one place to 57th.
Meanwhile, pacers Abbas Afridi and Faheem Ashraf climbed two and three places respectively to 74th and 76th positions.
